About Us
The mission of the Sicklerville United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. To accomplish this, we believe that we have four major purposes:
Worshiping God
Introducing people to Christ and the Church
Spiritually nurturing them, and
Equipping them to serve God, each other, and the World
Sicklerville UMC is a Christ-centered family-oriented church. We have programs for children of all ages, their parents, middle-aged people and senior citizens! There's Sunday School, Bible studies, Jr. and Sr. High School groups, exercise groups, puppets and even a pet ministry! Something is happening at Sicklerville UMC every day of the week, and you're invited to come out to see what's happening at our Church.
Sicklerville UMC offers three different worship experiences. All of these Sunday services are designed to help participants glorify God and experience the presence of Christ as real and relevant to their lives.
- 8:15 a.m. informal worship service, a wonderful blend of an informal atmosphere, casual attire, with a mix of contemporary praise music and modern worship.
- 10:00 am informal worship service, and
- 11:15 a.m. traditional worship service - for those of you who prefer classic hymns, responsive readings, and affirmations of faith, this worship service is for you!
Sicklerville UMC offers biblical and moral instruction on Sunday mornings for all ages:
- At 9:45 a.m.,children ages 2 through 6th grade, in the hands of trustworthy adults, thrill to Bible stories, crafts, other dynamic learning activities and a community of support we call "Sunday School".
- Also at 9:45 a.m., trained adults engage students grades 7-12 in a Sunday school hour. They discuss 21st century student issues in light of biblical principles.
- Young adults (post-high school through age 29). This group meets in Room 14. The subject is "Foundational Truths".
- At 10 a.m., adults of all ages and interest levels participate in Adult Instruction, known as "C.A.L.L." (Christians Advancing in Life and Leadership). If you know nothing about the Bible and want to make some new friends, we welcome you to join a Level 1 group at any time.
The people of the United Methodist Church share the philosophy of "Open Hearts, Open Doors, Open Minds". Please take the time to explore our web site. Then bring your family to our next Sunday church service to find out who we are, what we believe, and how you and your family can get involved! God is working in our church, and we want you to see what He is doing!
