The Institute of Biblical Discipleship aims to teach the content of Scripture, central doctrines, and practices of the Christian faith. All instruction will be geared to espousing a biblical worldview with an inter-denominational emphasis enabling students to develop a balanced view of Scripture.

Think you know God well? …

Please think again!

I thought I knew God well, too.

• I've attended Sunday School classes since childhood, even taught a few of them.
• I've been baptised and confirmed in the church, assured that I am "saved", and a Christian for many years now.
• I've even read the whole Bible a few times. And I thought I knew God pretty well.

I thank Him for gifting me with a strong desire to know Him more and more, as, otherwise, I may not have signed up for the new IBD classes last fall.

But I need to tell you that it was not till I started these classes, which are available right here at SUMC (is that a blessing for us, or what??) that I feel like I am truly getting to know the Lord on a deeper, more profound level!!

Through the dedication and encouragement of our teachers, some of the truest 'men after God's own heart' that I have ever known, I am learning so many new and wonderful things about our Lord

• His Word, and His love for us. And this is after only one semester!!
• I hope you can feel the excitement I am trying to convey to you about these classes,
• and the joy that is available to all of us, right here in our home church, to really, REALLY know Him better and love Him more!!
• Please don't think you already know Him well enough…….
• He has so much more for us, if we just give Him a little of our time...say, our Monday nights!!
