SUMC Campers

Mission Statement: The SUMC Campers ministry aims to introduce people new to SUMC to our Group and Christ. We endeavor to encourage and nurture newcomers, regular attenders and members of the church as followers of Christ. We aspire to equip each other to serve as worship leaders and for Christian service among our campers and in our local communities.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing,
but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the day approaching.

The SUMC Campers ministry is limited to families and married couples. Christian conduct is required of all campers. When we are at the campground, we either attend the worship service the campground provides, or if none is provided, we hold our own worship services at our campsite. Volunteers from within our own group host the worship service by preparing a short devotional, bible reading, and child devotional - which are followed by discussion. We sing praise songs before and after our service. These services usually are very holy spirit filled and directed. We encourage who are not within our group to join us in our service.
